Can the unit step function,

be approached by the function

v(x):=limk12(1+tanhkx)


and

w(x):=limk12(1+2πarctankx)
... ?

Next ... , can Dirac Delta δ(x) be approached by v(x) and w(x), such that

v(x):=dv(x)dx
and w(x):=dw(x)dx
... ?
